Wow! Thanks for the kind words. As for the book, I tried to drum up some interest from publishers a few years ago. Most didn't reply, others replied with a polite, "No thanks." Stuff 'em. I don't write them because I want to be famous, I do it because I like it.

Following the Doctor

The doctor said I should contain
My recent drinking woes
For soon I would have alcohol
Coming from my nose.
He suggested I only have
Two drinks every day
I agreed whole-heartedly
But this I have to say:
I bank them up for Saturday night
Enough to get me to scream
I ensure I get my quota
And so I drink fourteen.
And each drink is now measured
With great and deliberate care
So that it’s now exactly a litre
On the floor – find me there.
