hi guy's, so i've busted a headlight (the bigger one) and went to repco to see about getting a newy. they said no, it's a ford only part. so went to ford, $172 dollars.
is this right? or does someone have one spare, or know someone who does.

thanks marty

Pretty much a Ford only spare although you will find them on eBay from time to time. They are a Hella unit which is why Repco didn't want to help you - they are no longer agents for Hella - try Autobarn or Supercheap as there may be a Hella part available that will suit - I think the mounts and adjusters may be the problem though with a standard 7" Hella insert. They would have to be able to source the specific AU Ford unit. Also try the wreckers.

we (autobarn) cannot get the lights to suit AU's, I have tried for my ute. I found the only option to be gen Ford or secondhand.

Speak to The Dok.

I have found them for sale on www.ozeparts.com.au as well ... but I think they may be the Chinese version from TYC though.

Hee hee ... no probs.
I can vouch for your work ... the Projectors are still working like a dream.

I got my XR lights off The Dok too - great price, great service, great bloke (though we've never actually met).

I have a spare set of XR lights for one side only though (left, IIRC). I'll sell for $171 including postage and you get both low and high beam.

To avoid breakages in the future, get a set of "clearskinz" and cut them to shape and fit them.
