I thought it might have been auto fluid mixing... Either way, not good.

It got the best of me and thought ill email the owner to find out why the intake was in this postion,so it can clear up the mythes here
This is the answer :

THE AIR INTAKE THROTTLE BODY FACES OVER THE VALVE COVER AND THE STAINLESS PIPE AND POD FILTER IS ALL THAT CAME IN THE KIT, YES IT WOULD SEEM LOGICAL FOR IT TO GO IN PLACE OF THE STANDARD AIR FILTER HOWEVER YOU WILL HAVE TO REMAKE YOUR INTAKE MANIFOLD OR PURCHASE AN AFTERMARKET PRODUCT TO DO SO. I FOUND THIS POSSTION TO BE SATISFACTORY AND PROVIDES GOOD DIRECT INTAKE TO THE ENGINE WITHOUT MESSING AROUND.
I HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION.
THANKS.

hope this answers everyone's quistions lol

makes sence to me now

It looks like an intake for a V8. Probably didn't read the fine print when he bought it.
