There was a place in Melbourne doing the conversion ? but i cant for the life of me remember the name. They werent very attractive as the A and C pillars were at the stock height with a very tall rear quarter window set up. The word Cartier comes to mind but i may be wrong. Can someone else please shed more light on this.

Probably a Hillier. Might be one 'l' though. They did an AU or EL too, and a Commodore before Holden made the Monaro out of them.

I seen the XE on ebay, it looked ok i spose, but the pillars looked to tall, and the car was to short, looked like a love child of an XE and a Short wheel base LandCruiser!

yeah, one of the red ones was always in their yard. it looked pretty good to a 15 year old at the time - it was different. realistically the nicest thing i can say about it now is "it's different"
