Hey guys.
Im trying to figure out what the deal is with the XR`s in this colour. Ive only ever seen 2! 1 for sale on the net and one driving around my area. Where they a limited edition? Or was the colour just not a eye catcher like the british racing green with the BA`s and that aswell? I love the colour but good luck finding one especially in W.A......So yeh can someone explain? Both where 220 XR8`s so did they only come in the series 3 XR8? Thanks in advance

I think the actual colour was called "congo green" but i could be wrong.
We had a friend that had a BA XR8 in that colour. |

Congo and Harvest were the two greens (dark) in the BA range.

Dark green just wasn't very popular, hence why there aren't many around. Not since E-Series days anyway.

I just said it... not popular. Dark green hasn't been popular since E-Series days. AU had congo Green which wasn't popular at all and Harvest Green on AU and BA and wasn't popular.
Congo came in late AU Series 1 all the way through to AUIII and into BA launch. The fact that you don't see many is testament to it not being overly popular. Can't find pics of Congo through Google images... :togo: Harvest Green came in late BA from memory I for one liked it on the BA at least, saw a BA XR6 Turbo with silver stripes, would look good with a black leather with green stitching.

The best green in the falcon range I thought was in the EF-EL series... which was Heritage Green.
Oxford Green was more of a dark Jade green IIRC. Congo was a deep green.

Saw a green AU Fairlane yesterday, it looked way darker than Blackers10's. I thought it was meteorite at first.

For me Narooma or Blueprint were the best AU colours... Nothing quite like a nice blue on an AU.

Yeah the one in Bendigo lives just up the road from my work. Not sure what I think of the car, seems to be ALOT of w@nk factor, could just be the driver but its not a bad color. In other news Im being stalked by my local police who seem to think Im driving without my license. Sorry. Congo Green, great color.
