Default Advice for removing chrome strips and pinstripe

was just wondering how i should remove the chrome edging around my wheel arches.. and the pinstripe that runs along the body?... if i remove these.. will i be left with a disgusting mess underneath?.. the wheel arches aren't so much of an issue.. i'm sure i can clean that up... i'm just more concerned abotu what will happen if i remove the pin stripes....

im not possitive ... but try heating the paint with a hair dryer? then they should just peel off ... then use Metho to clean off the remainder glue!

are you considering selling your chrome wheel arches??

I had chrome strips above the wheel arches on mine too ages ago! As much as i hated them i was too lazy to take them off..it wasnt until i had a car accident that when it was in the smash repairers i just asked them to take them off and im so glad they aint on anymore cauz they look horrible and tacky!

well i just took the chrome strips off... they were only held on with double sided tape...

the pin stripes will prove a little more difficult to remove... i think it will be a slow process... hair dryer doesn't heat it enuf to effect it... will try again on the weekend with different methods... perhaps some metho...
