Hey guys
Wondering if u can help me wif my mates problem? He has manual xr8 as well and it sorta is starting to make a "clonk" noise when u put it into gear? Any ideas? It dont do it when u really baby it in to gear but. Cheers

Sounds like the synchro rings are not having enough time to line up. just check what oil is in the box as i have had a couple of boxes in trucks do the same thing due to the wrong viscosity of oil. and also dose the car have a standard clutch in it?

also just read bout tranzmax z but says its for auto trans. does it matter?

Ford run and recommend auto trans fluid to make the shift "feel" better for the average joe who doesn't want to put up with the slightly noisier and harder cold changes.
