Save ya cash for now and lower it IMO.
It can look better than the red, depends on the colour of the car. Is your red faded?

Yep do it! The red strips make it look older IMO because the EF and EL's had red protector strips. where are you going to get it done?

I reckon go for it.
Here's my thread from when i put the stripe in the front bar http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=69378 Definity reckon it's worth it. Or what about the dull grey stripe thats in the 2/3 bars - eg what whoosha has Cheers PS. i got my striping from autobarn. Also seen it at supercheap too. Cost about 20/30 bucks for it and it has enough to go all aroung the car

You'd probably be better with black strips on the sides and (maybe) chrome pin stripes on them, then chrome around the front and rear bumpers.
You can get the front and rear bumper mould here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-FALCON-A...QQcmdZViewItem If it gets to expensive, don't worry they always relist new ones. I got one and there is more than enough for the front and rear, had about 30cm left. Very happy.

Oh so you did mean front and rear, then yes DEFINITELY do it. Much more classy. I noticed yours is an au1, make sure you have the clear side repeaters to match. The amber ones will stand out horribly (do the s2/3 tail lights while you are at it).

I rang ford for a price to replace mine on the front bar (xr8 sIII) after it was resprayed... $90.00 each!! Thats $180 for 2 crummy strips, I couldn't believe it. Have cleaned my originals up and will put them back on!

You can get a whole roll of the stuff from auto shops such as supercheap and autobarn for much cheaper then ford. I reakon it add a bit of definition on the darker colour cars, i have it on my galaxy blue AU all around not just the front bar, see pics here: www.aufalcon.com/lowau
