Default Leaking XR8

We wait for ever for it to start to rain up here in QLD and when it does i get in my XR8 and the passenger side front floor is wet. Is this a common thing or does anyone have any idea were the water may be coming from. I dont want to pull the dash out cause its a pain in th A$$ but i dont want my XR to rust from the inside out either!!

How is the seal in the front window top centre, as some off them have a small slice were they are joined.

Not to sure if it is common but my mate who had a au xr6 series 3 had the same problem before the window was replaced.

I havent had it yet but i hope it dosent happen anytime soon and also hope you can source this problem before it causes other issues.

The rubber seal on the AU XR ( not sure probably all models ) was prone to cracking and is common, you will find they let go with temp change, ie cool days then a hot spell or vice versa, due to a poor rubber used than did not take to the extreems.

I doubt warranty work would still be in with the AU ? but to get original seal back they will need to replace the wndscreen, otherwise they will use a crappy generic rubber across the top with silicone.

Hi mate, just wondering if you had any luck with the leak !as my au3 sr sedan has started to leak from under the dash next to the glove box when it rains heavy wetting the floor mat.The windscreen seals look all ok.I think the water is coming in from around the fire wall. Thanks Steve
