to do it properly u would need to change front and rear springs, and rear shocks. looking at around 250 (give and take) for the front springs and the same for the rear.

take it to pedders and other suspension places and get some quotes

From memory, the job on my car was about $1,500 for new springs, shocks, a caster / camber kit and new wheel alignment. It was lowered to XR height.

I have the heavy duty tow pack and the towbar scrapes on some driveways if I have rear passengers.

Someone else might be able to recommend a place to get it done.

the XR's were only an inch lower than factory if i remember right. At only an inch you could probably get away with just springs and not worry about shocks. I did my wifes forte with king springs i went inch and a half and left standard shocks that was 3 years ago and havent had a problem. I also did that camber kit it was about 250 from memory at bobjane or one of the tyre shops... it dosnt scrape much at all.
