Default auto dilemmas

Hi guys just want to know if anybody has heard of a stand alone computer for the 4 stage auto as used in the EB falcon onwards? Ive dropped an injected 302 into my XP falcon but the throttle body wont fit with the factory strut braces and I dont want to remove them so Im thinking of going carby but want to stick with the 4 stage. Anyone got any info?

yeah it is possible, but a little bit of wiring and messing around is involved. You will also need to change the distributor for timing advance since you wont be using the engine ecu.(The trans is controlled by a seperate ecu to the engine)

The EA 4spd had it's own computer, but I dont know if it still needed the engine management. From EB on the engine ECU controlled the auto (well so I thought anyway).

V8 autos have their own ECU, like the EAs ;)
