Hope someone can help with this one. I am transplanting a duratec with factory pcm into a kit car similar to a Caterham. I have looked at the Duratec wiring diagrams and see that the electronic throttle sensor takes a 5volt constant power supply from the instrument cluster. I dont want to run the instrument cluster obviously. Does anyone know how this power source works or what it does specifically. I can simulate a 5 volt supply to this electronic throttle control off something else in our loom but dont want to end up with a stuck wide open throttle etc because I am not sure what the power supply specifically does? Any ideas out there?

Hi ozracer.
Best bet would be to multimeter check with a running Foc to what wires do what under various throttle applications. |
