Default ABS - Do I have it?

So how do I tell if I have ABS?
Car is as sig says - I think its a August build, dunno if that helps though.
Is there anything on the plates that would say if it does?

Is the control unit thingo in the bumper on EFs? Should I just look there?

Futura's have it standard. The ABS module is located in the front left corner of the engine bay or under the front left guard, can't quite remember.

Easy way to test though is to find a safe place and jump on the brakes - you'll soon know whether it has ABS or not!

Thanks champ
I thought so, just wanted to make sure.

Also, does it matter about ABS and non ABS rotors? I've seen a few advertised that supposedly fit both.
Those X-drilled and slotted gold DBA rotors look mighty nice....

The difference between ABS and non ABS rotors is only the sensor wheel on the inside of the rotor for the ABS sensor to work out how fast the wheels spinning.

Default wait for the rain

why don't you wait for a rainy day and test it your self. You'll know if you have it or not and if it works or not.

Find a safe spot, go 50km/h and try braking heavily. You should feel it work.
It's a good way to learn what to expect and how the car behaves, try steering while breaking etc.

Good luck and BE SAFE

Why don't you turn the key and see if the ABS light comes up on the dash?

PUt your car half on gravel half on the road and slam on the breaks, should stop dead straight with abs ;),
orrr, if you look on the RHS of the engine bay near the airbox, on the body of the car is a round black rubber screw thing, thats your abs pump...

Hahaha, too bad if you didn't have ABS, you'd be paddock bashing before you knew it lol :

Probably the quickest and easiest way of finding out.
