Default New Boy needs advice

G'day all,
i've been offered a Mark 2 Escort Van with a Blown (busted) motor, needs a few bits to tidy up but all there.
Guy says he don't know how much he wants for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any idea how much i should offer the fella, will be sold as is!
Think it's a 78 or 79.

Also how much should i expect to pay for a pinto?
What other motor will go (almost) straight in??

Cheers all.

What size motor did it have in it ? if it was a 2L I think most Cortina 4's should fit . The wife had a 2L Ghia , was a great little car with plenty of Get up & Go .

If it was a 1600 , might be worth the upgrade .

As for price , check out eBay , Carpoint Etc. this might give you a bit of an Idea

Good Luck
