Default Gt40p

i'm guessing this would have been covered before but i cant find anything. will gt40p heads bolt straight onto an el without having to make up custom headers??? i ask this because i am led to believe that the plugs are located differntly and are on a different angle to the el.

The GT40P heads will bolt straight on, and your headers will bolt up to the heads.
You will need to change your sparkplug lead ends to 90 degree ends, to clear the headers.

you will require different extractors to the factory ones. Not custom, but Pacemaker PH4000 extractors will do nicely (they work on both E7 and GT40P heads)

*EDIT* Darin will the std crappy factory headers bolt up fine?

You'll need 90* spark plug leads because the 135* std ones will foul on the extractors. Don't buy AU plug leads coz they're for a coil pack.

lol @ AUI owners then.

Wait, there's more reasons to laugh at them than just for exhaust manifolds! Remember when every 2nd black AU owner called their car "Black Betty"? Should've been Ugly Betty
