Default Trip computer lights

Well as the story goes, i have recently done work to the cluster (led lights), and heater controls (led lights). Now after doing this, my trip computer led's won't go out, they stay on regardless of iginition position.

Any one know what causes this, or have i buggered something up?

I've had a look at the back of the cluster, no wires are lose, or anything broken.

I'm yet to have a good play to find the problem, but if anyone has ideas or has experianced this before, your help would be appreciated

Cheers

PS. Or should i just get Whoosha to do it

Saying the 'trip computer' , 1/ do you mean the lcd screen under the speedo/tacho , 2/ or are you on about a fairmont lcd near the clock.

If your on about the dash lcd , these lights are allways on , except when the ingnition is fully off ! . With the normal globes because they are so dull, you can't see them lit behind the lcd during the day, but with the led's it is very visible day and night.

cheers.

Actually , sorry , regarding #/1 , the leds are not on in the accessories position ( eg. wit just the radio on ), but are on all the time with the engine running regardelss if your headlights/parkers are on or off.

p.s... i also gave the leds behind the lcd a light sanding all over until the whole top and sides of the leds were like a pearl lightbulb/diffused - first time i didn't and the result was 2 'very' noticable bright dots behind the lcd (this being due to the piece of plastic behind the lcd which distributes the original light globes light around, it's not of the propper angle to spread the led lighting / which is directed at a different angle to normal globes ).
