does the space cold do funny things to your nipples makingthemallpointy - bowie?
I'm not a huge fan but he's got some pretty decent songs. His cameo on extras was one of the high points of Series 2 (doesn't quite top ricky asking out a chick)

You can't believe everything you have read about Bowie, he was a master of manipulating the media and re-inventing himself. Being a Bowie fan is no worse than being a Elton John fan (which I'm not BTW). Bowie is a genius, it is amazing how well his music stands up. I have seen him twice, once during the Glass Spider Tour and again a few years ago when he was out here. He was amazing live, he likes plays with the arrangements of his songs so they are always fresh. It's a shame that some people can't seperate the persona from the music, they are missing out on something special.

I like Lou Reed as well, Bowie produced "Transformer" probably Lou's most popular album.

I am reading a book called Rock And Roll Babylon at the moment. How much of it should I believe? It has a picture of Lou Reed allegedly injecting heroin on stage, thats pretty screwed up....and Bowie with his make up and affair with Mick Jagger, among others,

Love all the Bowie albums up to and including Scarey Monsters. His musical output after this was a bit patchy I reckon. 'Lets Dance' wasn't too bad either.

Generally speaking, singers are as good at acting, as actors are at singing....

If anyone is interested in discovering Bowie's music, I recommend "Changesonebowie" arguably the best put together 'best of' album ever (not a dud track on it). My favourite studio albums are 'Ziggy Stardust', 'Lodger', 'Heroes' and 'Scary Monsters'.

My cranked up favorite songs, 'Jean Genie', 'Rebel, Rebel' and 'Heroes'.

Listen to the music, don't worry about the image or the crap you read in those books (that's only to sell books) He is a great songwriter who's career spans 5 decades, you don't last that long if you're not good.

Well I'm not one of the small minded. Yes, I'm a very big bowie fan. To be honest, I like all his albums and enjoy a lot of the 'Bowie' culture. I respect him greatly as a musician and artist. Bowie is an absolute legend.

And to all of those who would put **** on me for admitting this, feel free. Really enjoy yourself. Perhaps I enjoy being something that most others dont like or understand.
Water off a ducks back.

One of the best album's I've ever listened to was Bowie doing vocals for the 'Sisters Of Mercy' "Slight Case Of Overbombing" Greatest Hits.

Haven't heard that one, I like Sisters Of Mercy too. I will have to try and find that album.
