Unfortunately not. The heater controls between series 1 and 2 are just different enough to make it a pain to do. Would be worth PMing Falkeen, as I know he contemplated this and did some research into it a while ago.

No, they all came out in poxy primer grey. But you can paint it - gloss black looks good. It's a fiddly job undoing everything to paint it, but worth it, and easier than doing a full changeover to series 2 fascia.

It's just a spare - my XR has the same. There are a number of things it could be for - LPG switch for factory gas, etc.

It's also for the factory dual fuel that came out on the S1. Here's the one on my S1 wagon.

Cheers,

GK

As I have no HU, just a aux jack, I mounted a switch for my amps in that spare plug space.

Seriously? I have an XR which is black interior, but the radio surround/fascia was still grey. Have you got any pics of the AU1 black - I would be interested in seeing this as I would do a swap if this is the case.

Hey George, I changed position of my economy switch from console to dash and used the existing plug from behind the dash just to make it easier to operate...is there another harness and plug behind there just for LPG or is it put in when a lpg car is ordered new or converted?...Cheers Linz.

Its the same sorta finish as the AU2 console, but in the AU1 shape.

Thre pics don't really do it justice, but its definately a different colour. See all the buttons are black rather than grey to match it. They look great in the flesh.

Yep - that's what I call primer grey! It's what I had in my XR, and I painted it black.

Now, of course, I have real fake brushed aluminium look that is sooooo nice! /sarcasm
