Hi ,
Got a bit of a problem with tring to program the remote on my AU II XR6 The car was a finance company repo and as such had no remotes...just onekey, So after buying another remote from a wrecker i tried the procedure to program it but to no evail, after inserting the key and turning it to acc, pressing the rear demist button 3 times or more in less than five seconds....nothing happens...no door locks cycling ....nothing !! What the hell do i do now????? roh |

you must press it exactly 3 times, with the door closed, so on, off, on, then the door locks should cycle, then you can continue

OK...job done ..thanks..i think the problem was i was doing it with the door closed but not locked !!

Well mine took a few more goes to get mine to work.
Just keep trying, dont press it to fast, try 5 times (thats what mine took) you'll know when it has started receiving mode as the doors lock. Good Luck

Glad I found this thread.
My car didn't acknowledge it had gone into learning mode. I tried the new remote by chance and it worked. Go figure. Rubbing my belly while patting my head and hopping on one foot must have worked after all!
