Heya fella's, i'm after some feed back on what suspension people are using and what price they paid. I'm lowering my bro's au3 and just want some info on what brands/kits other people are using.
And also would an au3 forte have all the wiring and plugs behind the dash to put an xr speedo cluster in or will some things not work. Any help would be appreciated, thanks fellas Ben

King springs are what most people are using I'd say, lows if you want about XR height, superlows are about 20mm lower, ultra lows about 15-20mm lower again.
Shocks are up to you, I'm running Boges and I reckon they're pretty good (with lows, they suit superlows too as they're a shorter shock). Lots of people seem to run Monroe's, but they're not actually a shorter shock, just valved differently for shorter travel. Mine cost 800 installed which is cheap. With camber kit etc people pay up to 1100. You should be able to get a full set of kings for $220-240. Shocks, depending what you get, maybe another 340. Best deal I could get was around $550 for all four shocks and springs. Won't cost any different to do different heights, only consideration is the lower you go the more likely you'll need a camber kit, which is probably another 200 bucks. |

King spring SL's, and Monroe GT Gas shocks, and struts. Camber kit, and a wheel alignment, $1100. Am extremely happy with this combo, nice and smooth on the highway, a little bumpy at low speeds. Only now, Im wishing I had gone lower.
