Cos where there's smoke, there's fire.

Seriously, I would say because it runs rich to help protect the engine.

Gary is still having issues with the tune (very rich), and the tuners were Motec themselfs.... Anyway Steve from RDP is going to have a crack at it next week.. I hope he can get it right for Laminge......

Oh yeah.. for the state that tune is in at the moment,,,,, It still goes very very hard...

Did Gary ever end up getting the heads set up for O-rings? I think I remember head gasket issues waay early on in the build?

But yeah - my guess would be running a rich tune to avoid expensive explosions while he's waiting for a decent tune.

yes, its all been O ringed recently. Its just in need of a good tune now.

As for smoke, consider yourself lucky. At the Geelong AFD a few years back it was spitting 5 foot of flame out the rear.. almost cooked some poor bugger!

We weren't eating lunch.. Poor Candice was looking for pics on her camera to show me and she just turned her face away as the smoke came pouring out.. So lucky she did turn at that exact moment...

I feel so bad because all I could do was crack up laughing at the poor girl e
