Exclamation Territory six speed gearbox

Territory 2010 SYII six speed gearbox help

I have a plastic Sump Filter 6 speed Automatic Transmission ZF6HP26 Gearbox
Do I stick to the Ryco plastic pan and filter and use a Full synthetic ZF Lifeguard fluid or Dextron 6 Fluid.
Or do I do a metal pan conversion with the ZF lifeguard six fluid or Dextron 6 fluid.
Like to service it myself.

There's a lot more to it then just draining the oil.

I'd suggest getting the steel pan as it's cheaper long term, ZF lifeguard or Nylon SYNATF which is ZF certified. I used it for years with no problem.

If you plan to service it yourself, Google the ZF service procedure or find it on these forums as I think someone has uploaded it already.

Search ZF servicing at home on this forum. New steel pan and filter costs you $185. I used Penrite ATF BMV and also did a flush to remove the old oil in the torque converter (not for the faint hearted) If not flushed I would follow up with another oil change to put clean oil throughout. The steel pan come has a drain plug. I'm changing mine every 60km from now on.
