Ford Territory Safety Packages Add Further Appeal to Australia's Most Popular SUV

December 2006

Ford has announced details of two new safety packages which will be available on Territory TX rear-wheel drive and Territory TS rear-wheel drive from December 1.

"Ford Territory has a renowned safety pedigree and these new safety packages add a comprehensive list of competitively priced features that will further enhance Territory's safety credentials," said General Marketing Manager, Rebecca Martin.

"They will also increase the appeal of Australia's most popular Sports Utility Vehicle."

The safety pack available on Territory TX RWD incorporates Dynamic Stability Control, power adjustable pedals and side curtain airbags. Purchased individually, these features have a recommended retail price of $1,950, but the safety pack is available for a RRP of only $1,500.

The specification and saving offered on the Territory TS RWD model is even greater. The safety package includes Dynamic Stability Control, power adjustable pedals and the reverse camera, with a RRP of $1,500 – a $700 saving over purchasing the features individually.

"Safety is of paramount importance, especially to families, and these two packs create the opportunity for Territory owners to enjoy further peace of mind motoring," said Ms Martin.

"Territory was the first Australian vehicle to incorporate the advanced safety features of Dynamic Stability Control and also the first to include side curtain airbags.

"Territory with the reverse camera achieved the maximum five-star rating in the NRMA Insurance Reversing Visibility Index, and the new safety package on Territory TS RWD will help extend the availability of this innovative feature to a greater number of motorists."
