Default Fiesta track car

I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with fiestas as as first track cars my neighbour just bought an xr3 2004 model and hes wants to turn it into a first track day car wants to do suspension mods and lighten it a bit yo track it just wondering if anyone has had experience as a track car with them

Not a track car but my 2009 WS Fiesta handles like a go-kart from factory with its grippy Continental tyres. They only weigh 1088kg.
