Default No flashing light on AU S1 FAIRMONT GHIA instrument cluster??

Hi All

I've had my 98 AU S1 Fairmont Ghia for just over a year now. To date I've never noticed any lights what so ever on the instrument cluster or anywhere else come on when the the remote is activated & doors are shut????

Should anything be flashing or light up??? What happens on your AU??? Can anyone shed some light on this???

Thanks

when you lock the doors both indicator pilots should flash twice and the smart lock icon should start flashing

99 models around June (ish) got the smartsheild upgrade, which has the flashing light on the dash. It's a little (red) hand.

My 99 Futura wagon just missed out on the upgrade. I just went outside and when I lock and unlock it, the indicators external and internal arrows on the dash light up.
