Default Remedy for a Damaged Stripe

Had my car washed at Highpoint the other day at one of those car park/wash places. Nice and clean when I got back, but a small part of the vinyl stripe on the roof had stripped off, probably from their pressure washer. They were obviously hoping I wouldn't notice, and gave all sorts of excuses when I brought it to their attention.
The bastiches wouldn't give me a discount even when their CCTV footage showed that the stripe was intact when I'd brought it in.
After much arguing and cursing at me in Vietnamese, they offered me a free polish on my next visit, but I'll be damned if I let those pricks touch my car again.
So I was S.O.L. when it came to getting the stripe fixed... or so I thought.
When I got home I grabbed my steel ruler and a knife with a new #11 blade, cut away the damaged bits, and here's the result:

Get a quote to get it re done and go and charge them for it or take it to court. You'd win easy with CCTV footage.
Don't let them get away with it. They'll screw someone elses car if you do.

I think if you did a matching one on the bonnet, it would look good.

I thought the "Remedy for a Damaged Stripe" was to get the waxer to remove the lot ;)
