Had my car washed at Highpoint the other day at one of those car park/wash places. Nice and clean when I got back, but a small part of the vinyl stripe on the roof had stripped off, probably from their pressure washer. They were obviously hoping I wouldn't notice, and gave all sorts of excuses when I brought it to their attention.
The bastiches wouldn't give me a discount even when their CCTV footage showed that the stripe was intact when I'd brought it in. After much arguing and cursing at me in Vietnamese, they offered me a free polish on my next visit, but I'll be damned if I let those pricks touch my car again. So I was S.O.L. when it came to getting the stripe fixed... or so I thought. When I got home I grabbed my steel ruler and a knife with a new #11 blade, cut away the damaged bits, and here's the result:
