Hi all,
Last year I did a track day and heat damaged the brake pads and rotors on my focus st. We fixed it (probably the cheap way) by machining the discs (believed to be factory ones) and putting in bendix pads (just a normal regular use pad I think). Anyway after a long trip I’ve just completed, lots of mountain roads, a lot of brake use, the discs have become warped, worse when hot. Small vibration when in the pedal, gradually getting much worse with a lot of use. My uneducated guess is it’s because of the much harder pad on the soft factory disc. Can I get a suggestion on whether to replace the just discs and keep the relatively new pad, or whether to go all new. This is for the front only. And also what to replace with. Sorry for the long post. But thank you.

You can use one of the DBA rotors for this vehicle. There are several models to choose from:
DBA 2120 is the standard replacement - about $180 / pair. DBA 2120S is the T2 slotted replacement - about $280 / pair. DBA 2120X is the Gold series cross drilled & slotted replacement - about $280 / pair. There are also 3 4000 series heavy duty options (4120, 4120S, 4120X) and three 5000 series options (52120.1, 52120.1S and 52120BLKS). As for the pads, it depends how many kilometres they have done. It it's a few then they'll possibly have some uneven wear of their own. A slightly cheaper option might be the RDA rotors.

Thank you for the info Russell.
I have had a look at the receipt when this was done, was about 17000 kms ago the pads replaced and discs machined. Probably safer i assume to go both disc and pad replace on the front?
