Default Adding dash clock to base model AU

I remember back in 01 when i had a 2000 AU Series 1 Forte that i wanted the dash clock put in (where the FALCON badge is).
Had it booked in to Ford, only to be told that it cant be done.
So, 11 years later, can it be done?
Is it just as simple as putting the clock in, adding the clock loom and plugging it into a plug that is already there for it?
Or is there no plug in the low series (XL Ute in this case).

I'm fairly sure the plug is there just fit the clock and plug it in

Well, from the results i have found here, it seems the general consensus is that it doesnt have the require plug in the dash and it cant be done without wiring it from scratch.
Would love to be proved wrong though..............

Even with no plug, wiring it in should not be a difficult process. You would need an earth connected to the body, a feed from the battery side of the ignition (to keep the clock permanently on) and a feed from the light switch so when the lights are on the clock's backlight is on.

Take the blank panel off and have a look for a plug. I was told I couldn't put a clock in my EL gli. I was a bit sceptic, thinking ford would not make a whole lot of looms. I pulled the falcon blank panel off and the plug was just sitting there. I pluged it in pushed.the clock into the whole and I now have a working clock. Hopefully it is the same for your Au

Sorry just saw the post, two above this one
