Default Commodore / Rodeo type EGR Valves

The two port ones with opposing “ears” for attachment. Do they stick, are they cleanable after removing, can the metal gaskets be reused either dry or with a smear of sealant?

Got a Pug with one, but it’s employed differently. Valve looks identical except the connector alignment is different.

I believe what this one uses it for, is to meter clean air from an electric “smog pump” into the exhaust ports. I’m getting a “secondary air pump fault” on diagnosis but it’s a dumb pump with an unmonitored power supply relay - so the fault almost certainly lies with the EGR valve.

Hence wondering if it’s worth trying to clean the valve, or safe to reuse the gasket. I can’t find a part number for the Holden gasket by itself.
