Default Cheap stuff at catch of the day

Heard from a mate that they are selling stuff on special this Wednesday like iPod nano 8GB's for $129.

Anyone had any experience from these guys? (http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/index.php)

I've been after an iPod for a while now so I will try and buy them on Wednesday. They usually go for $190 at JB and target.

Yeah, we have bought a few things from them. Good bargains to be had, if that is exactly what you are after.

They are OK and have a store in Melbourne as well, READ THE FINE PRINT...sometimes the catch may not seem so good...as its REFURBISHED gear as in seconds that have been "fixed". Apart from that have purchased a few cheaper items from them and spent 300 bucks on stuff in their store.

Good Luck getting it if you can.

I agree with read the fine print. I just read that they will NOT be accepting new signups to the site after 11am (AEST) tomorrow - so if you're not a member before then you'll have no chance of buying anything.

Sometimes with events like this, they sell one item per hour. For example, the first hour the iPod might be on sale, the second hour the Wii, and so on. If an item sells out, that's it for the hour.

I have seen their servers go mental trying to cope with too many visitors, they had a catchathon with some awesome deals and a couple of things I wanted, every hour as a new item came up all I could get was the stupid "Too many people on the server, please try again later" message....when I did get on, item was sold out.

Good luck with it, they usually are decent bargains, as someone said they do sometimes tend to sell refurbished stuff but its not really often that you see that, I'm guessing the iPods and all will be brand new (but don't quote me on that!).

For another Australian site that does the same sort of thing, one item each day, try www.zazz.com.au - they don't really have days like tomorrow with a bunch of killer deals but you can get the odd bargain from them! Zazz does their update at midnight (AEST) though, whereas catch does it at midday.

Have also scored some great bargains from them... You have to be online on their site at least 15 minutes prior to the 'sale' time as that will help catch the bargains. Well that has always worked for me, only missed out on one item which was a 'would like' not a 'need/want/must have' anyway
