As a suggestion, you Melbourne guys work out several meeting points or make someone a contact for pre BBQ cruises. You know Melbourne the best. So for example, we will probabbly meet up with BJMXR on our side of town for the cruise in. I know Tornado is organising a meeting point around his area. Rob with a cruise from his way. What about guys in the direction of Geelong. Maybe Casper comes out from that side of the world. Maybe get some offical meeting points, cruises and times and start a list in a new thread. Put all the cruises details and people can add their name to the list.

Total of 47 cars. For a BBQ event, the numbers are quite amazing. Especially if you break it down to 43 of the one model. I know for some events that getting 43 cars to a BBQ day is hard, but 43 cars of the same model is a pretty fair effort. Lets hope we can all make it and we get a few more along as well

we are basically 1/2 of the Wagga All Ford day in AU's only. Got to be some sort of record.

I am also looking at making this an annual event now as it seems to have become something people have been craving.

Next year will actually be bigger, better and at a new location. We havent even had it and we have outgrown the Albert park site... amazing.

You will have to excuse any bad organisation this year. It was expected to be a family BBQ with 20 cars max, not this. Next year I have already looked at new ideas and sites to make this a full on family BBQ and Show day.

Thanks to everyone who is making this happen... you should all be very proud of yourselves

we are already going to struggle to fit 50 cars at the site... and we have been asked by the council to submit a "traffic control" plan.

The council, in their typical money grab, are now also considering implimenting parking meters before the day ($2 a day) just to make that extra buck.

If we hadnt already paid I'd be looking at alternate sites this year.

There will be a set of "rules" that come out closer to the event. Usual stuff. No illegal activity, no endagering lives or other cars.

You are absolutely right though, bad behaviour will screw up this event. I'll be very unhappy with any muckups... Given there are going to be at least 2 admin's there too... it wouldnt be a smart move for anyone. That said, this is aufalcon.com, we are the best, no ones going to screw up.

Im sure everyone can contain themselves once we're at the park. Yep, it would suck if somone ruined it for the rest of us. We've all seen burnouts and ripping it off the line before. As long as everyone realises the event is about the cars aesthetics and not a performance or drag event, were set.

Whatever the case... seeing around 50 AU's lined up will be just awesome... and eating a nice medium rare eye fillet will top it off perfectly!

lol, not too sure about "eye fillet" being on the menu. Would be nice. We'll see how many cars and how many people then see what we can get. Got to get bread, sauses, salads, drinks etc too remember.

Anyhow, now for some real interesting news. As we have already outgrown AP lake's allocated area and they (council) are in "gouge" mode for money we are now looking at alternatives for this year. Its late notice so we are not sure but we are looking for somewhere to "stretch out a bit more" and see if we can't make this even better.

What an event this is gonna be , i can't wait ! - ) It would be good to tip off the media a week earlier or so and say some special event is happening ! (don't tell them what though !) - I wouldn't be suprised then if we all ended up on tv ..lol

The MMM radio station dudes drive XR's, and i'm sure they would prolly be happy to visit the site for the day and broadcast from there a bit maybe . Maybe if we could get them in on it too they might even supply a ИИИИload of food etc etc. Is amazing how radios stations and stuff can get you free permits for the day too ! ...
