I don't really know what these are worth, but it does seem awfully cheap?

Cars with ludicrously low buy it now prices on ebay always worry me - they always end up being from some imaginary person from places far far away who only needs you to give them a 5k deposit so they can ship the car from Kazakstan back to Australia for you...

Redbook value has these priced at:-

km's- 80,000 - 140,000

Average price- $10,600 - $13,400

So at 122,000k's at $12,000 is about right i would think.

Yeah, that one's been on there before, I don't think it's dodgy, but I also don't think it's been looked after as it should have been. Just looking at the interior, and the wheels, and the fact that obviously the original rear spoiler has been damaged and he's replaced it with the much cheaper (yet similar) AU2 classic spoiler, rather than the TE50 bobtail (which was ~$1200 from Ford unpainted), I get the feeling it hasn't been loved. Still, I'd buy it tomorrow and give it some TLC if I was in NSW and had the cash on hand. There was a dark blue one in Melbourne that didn't sell for a while at 14k. Seems like they're just getting cheaper...

My current mods may give away my love for burgundy T1's... :

My spoiler, by the way, is the one the car for sale should have.

yeah nothing dodgy at the price IMO.....it seems only the T3's are being sought after,(well at the moment anyway) which has knocked the prices of T1 and T2's down heaps

would love to be in a position to buy it

Thats sad isnt it redbook just doesnt do these cars any justice you can pick them up so cheap and for what you get its worth it. As has been said it doesnt look like it has been well maintained but still a pretty good example at a good price

There's another one on Carsales (Dealer) with a rather poor interior for $17990, so the ebay one looks legit - more likely than not someone who's gone to trade it in & was proably told it was worth 10 grand.........

hereclick here

Plus that carsales one has 50000 more kms on it, and non-original wheels.

The problem is people don't know what they are so they don't look for them- he'd get more attention advertising it as an XR8

Carsales and carpoint etc is the same IMO. People pay the money for XR8's as they "know" it's the performance model and they look for them- T series are a different story so they don't command the money or people chasing them that they should be

It's all about awareness and it is only so slowly getting out there. Joe Public still don't know..........

It may be legit, but why only 4 pics?

If I were selling it, I'd have 10 or so!
