Angry what does FTW stand for

i've seen it everywhere on this forum... ftw this ftw that... what does it stand for ? free the whales ? f$%k the world ?
theres a bloke at my work with FTW tattooed on his middle 3 fingers i don't want to ask him though :togo:
someone please fill me in it's driving me crazy.

I Think for older folk it used to refer to the world. Now with the text generation it seems to have changed

Seems all the younger boys and girls use it exclusively although when actually talking to the younger boys and girls, they never say it. I guess it goes with all the lol iirc imho etc etc. SMS language has much to answer for.
