Default Door trims and headunit - removal

hi all, embarking on installing a stereo in my 2007 focus tdci, and wondering if anyone could give me a walkthrough on how to take off the front door trims, and if it's not asking too much, also how to remove the headunit?
cheers

To get the head unit out you need four special keys. You can buy them from a few places on the internet, but odds are there is someone in your state that already has a set. Whereabouts do you live?
You then place the four keys in the slots around the edges of the stereo and give it a tug. Comes out pretty easily.

For the door trims, you need to remove the door handle cover, just get your hands in behind it and give it a pull. It will slide out around the door handle itself (the handle is not connected to the black cover that surrounds it). You then need to get a flathead screwdriver (with a towel wrapped around it) and wedge it underneath the door arm rest (it's split into two sections). The bottom half will pry off as it is held in with a few clips. This will allow you to reach 2 10 or 12mm bolts behind it, as well as unplugging the power window cabling. Then there are about 15 lugs around the edge of the door card that need to be popped out, but just a warning, they are extremely fragile. So be extremely careful in removing the door card. I suggest you get a trim removal tool from Repco or Autobarn or similar. They help to even out the force that is applied on each lug to prevent them from snapping. I've got a photo at home that show the location of all the lugs that I got from BlackLS so I'll post it on here once I finish work.

Hope that helps a bit.

Ah thanks Chris! I was hoping they would be the exact location!!! Ah well. I'm takin my doors off soon too. Gettin some 6.5 inch components in the fronts (w/ crossover unit), and 6.5" in the backs, amped from the boot .
What's the best way to amp the speakers? Run the speaker wire to the head unit? Or to the door looms? Just trying to nut it out before I start pulling everything apart!!
