Default Game On!!!

Ok, I get payed a car allowance by work, $10k a year, tax free, unless I don't spend it on my car (the tax man will want it back...)

I just worked out that I need to spend over my original budget or 3,000 on my car, or I'll get anally raped by the government.

So, here's the stuff going into my car in about 2 weeks.

1x Fusion Powerplant FP505 4Ch Amp
2x Fusion Powerplant FP1402 2Ch Amps
2x Fusion Powerplant FPC6 Component Speakers
2x Fusion Powerplant 10" Woofers
1x Woofer Box
Plus crossover, cabling & labor.

CAN'T WAIT...

You really love your fusion stuff don't you. The FP505 is a 5channel amp so there is no advantage using it if your getting a seperate amp for the subs.

Don't bother with 2 subs, your only wasting space for **** factor. Get a good single sub and it will wipe the floor over the 2 subs.

Have you thought about replacing the headunit? If not your sound quality is going to be limited by signal converters.

Swaytan - I would check with Mr Tax man about that.

I'm pretty sure that 'enhancements' to your car are not tax-deductable... so hence you will be asked to pay for the tax on that $3,000 you think was tax free on a sound system.

Pretty sure the allowance covers:
- Tyres (can also upgrade here I guess)
- Fuel
- Service
- Costs such as Insurance and Rego
- Parking for business use
- Car Wash
- Products for the car (to wash it etc etc)

That is about all I can remember.

Thanks for the heads up, but I've already gone through 2 tax years on this system, and yeah, ANYTHING that is purchased for the car is counted.

Which took me a while to get my head around initially... It's set up like a salary sacrifice.

Thanks for this dude, where do I start?

The whole Fusion thing has something to do with my job, we have like, a thing with em, can't say much about it, but it's good for me! Let's just say I have an incentive.

I meant the FP-1402 amps, sorry, not the FP505.

With the subs, I'm getting like 50/50 split of people arguing for or against 2 subs. So I dunno...

Re: Head unit, if anyone knows a way to change the head unit without damaging the dash, let me know.

You can order parts from the Uk that convert the dash from double Din to single DIN(gives you a pocket to boot as well).

By my understanding your not going to have the speakers amped? Is this correct? If your running the 2 amps for the subs your gonna have massive bass overkill and it will be muddy as a result (1200WRMS for subs compared to a total of maybe 40WRMS from the headunit combined).

The only advantage of going to multiple subs is if your running so much SPL that a single sub won't handle the power needed. Otherwise its just extra weight. Get a high-end 12inch Fusion sub and it will demolish the 2 10inchers.

No no, I'm getting a 4Ch amp too! Yes, that would have been overkill!

Do you know where I can order this part from in the UK?

I'm thinking of getting one. I've seen them on Fiesta before. They look good, and I've always loved them. I'm waiting for the quote back though.

Just remember about the strength around corners.... Shouldn't flex too much though!

I quoted for my Honda Jazz in a few months before, that was AU$600-AU$800 for non-elec and more than 1k-1.2k for elec QC sunroof inc fitting. However, it will affect the structure and warranty of the car.
