Default How to remove Focus LZ automatic gear knob?

I have a 2015 Focus LZ Titanium Automatic. Air freshener broke and leaked onto trim around the shifter boot. Have purchased replacement trim, and I know how to take the trim off, but I can't take the trim off without getting the gear knob off. Does anyone know how to remove the gear knob? Cheers.

Once you have the boot/trim lifted up all the way, you will see two screws that hold the shift on the shaft. Undo screws and lift the knob off. You may also have to undo the wiring for the selectshift button if it has it. see below image.
