Hey guys, looking at buyin a 1990 KF TX3 from a dealer for $3990. First car for me. Its got 192,000kms on the clock and seems in pretty good condition. Anyone know how manykms these cars are good for usually before any major problems? It's lowered, decent exhaust, tinted, and got a decent head unit in it.
Rekon it sounds like a good deal? If not how much shuld i aim for? Just gotta get a RAA check done on it then... |

I believe that's a bit rich for a stocker. Aim more towards $3k. Though if it's immaculate it might be a goer.
Realise you can get a modified one for $6k+ if that floats your boat.

damn...NVM.
Just realised you were reffering to TX not Laser -------------- Private deal for similar could probably set you back 2k -> 2.5K. I got mine 1990 laser ~190,000Km 1.6L auto 3sp from a friend for 1.2k (no air con, no head unit). However, the car got minor dent here and there. But mechanical is ok apart from the CV joints need replaced soon and gear box takes half a min to warm up in the morning (before it kicks in) 1+ VippiN get a decent one from 5K -> 6K. Again try private deal or just get one for 2K. Bear in mind you'll need to service it before you can drive with peace of mind. |
