Just curious, but what’s your plans for this obvious shtbox? Sounds like you want to get it running to sell and make a few dollars?
My advice is it sounds like you’re spending way too much time for what will be extremely little gain. Slaving away in a hot shed to make a few hundred dollars? What do you value your free time at? If it were a project you wanted to do up and keep, fair enough. But I think you’ve already passed the effort/profit balance here. |

If the new manifold gasket does'nt fix it i'll give up and sell it for scrap.
We've still got the brand new 18inch wheels and tyres and BIG XPlod Amp and Sub Woofer we can sell too!!! The bloody thing was running fine after i put the new fuel pump in and then it just shat itself??? Was hoping to get at least $600 for it as a running, driveable TX5. |

Inlet Manifold gasket did'nt fix it.
Still starts but stops straight away. Have given up......Not spending anymore money on it. Took spark plugs out and took fuel pump hose off and cranked over to get the 10 litres of petrol back that I put in it. Then took new fuel pump out aswell. (Hopefully can sell on Ebay as it's brand new?) Also removed the Autotechnica Sports steering wheel. (Might be able to get $100 for that?) How much are they paying for scrap non running cars these days??? |

Ended up getting $150 for it lol!!!
And the fricken indian tow truck driver offered me $100 only at first because i'd left the plugs out and taken the fuel pump out too. They told me over the phone they'd pay me $150 so thats what i demanded. And i told him the car was running and driving only a few weeks ago. Then he put the chains on under the rear of the car and tore a big hole on the rear bumper. |
