Default New exhaust - resetting the ECU

Advice please...

Do I need to reset my ECU for a newly installed exhaust system from the Y pipe back? It is for a BF XR8.

If yes what is the best way?

Appreciate some advice

mate you should reset your ecu, as the ford ecu's are self learning and resetting them would go back to basics. simply disconnect the battery for approx 30-45 minutes, re-connect the battery and then let it idle for 15 minutes, then take it for a good drive. i re-set the ecu in my xr6t yesterday.
