Just bought myself an EF Ghia, its a bit wet so it looks darker than what it actually is. Mechanically standard so i fugure i will just get a shift kit and a set of either mock extractors or 4480's as it already has a 2.5 exhaust.
The 18" rims look pretty big, hopefully the tyres aren't too much of a rip.

Series 1, just has EL badges on it i think. It certainly has some balls compared to the XF Ghia i have been driving, i cant believe how easy this thing lights up the 235 tyres. Every auto ford i've driven, including my clevo, has been hard as hell to get em turning. I'm wondering if the thin tyres dont absorb the energy like the tyres on my other cars 14" wheels do?

Nice car man, IMO all it needs is an EL ghia grill and some clears side indicators and it'd perfect.

I wish my EF looked that good

Very nice machine there XC. A good pickup by the looks of it.
If that is Stevo's & Leah's old car then I think members ex-rides just seem to gravitate back to the club :P

well considering EF ghias usually have the chrome around the black section in the grill, yet both stevo's old car and the one in this thread don't, seems very likely ;)

What do you mean EL grill, they look crap. While i'm at it, does anyone know which air snorkel to get, i think the AU xr8 ones are the go (not sure if the series makes a difference).
Is it normal for the revs to slip a little bit when you manually change from 3rd to 4th, at low to medium revs obviously. I'm thinking i might get a tranny service done anyway before i put the shift kit in.
Thanks for the nice words.

I'm with you on the grill, keep the EF one

the slipping you're experiencing from 3rd to 4th is to do with the torque converter.
when you hold the car in 3rd, the torque converter gets locked up.
as soon as you put it in drive, the torque converter unlocks, but the trans may stay in 3rd (depending on your throttle application), if in the case that you're backing off when you put it in drive, the slow responce of the auto can sometimes unlock the torque converter, stay in 3rd, then shift to 4th giving the impression its slipping.

Personally i'd get a transmission service done anyway, best to try and keep these autos in best operating condition, preventative maintenence is the key

Hey there, nice car!
It is very similar to our old ride, but does have a few different things.
I doubt its the same car, but you never know. (Id love to see more pics ) The wheels are the same, and the ride height is identical.

1) It had Genie headers fitted, and also a 2 1/2" Genie system
2) We pulled the engine stickers off the door (4.0i)
3) Didnt have fairlane cornering lights.
4) What stereo is fitted? we had a Sony Xplode HeadUnit
5) Also had a DBA Slotted and X-Drilled rotors on it

So yeah, i doubt its the same car.. but these things could have been changed (havent owned it for 2 years now i think ? ) Id love to see some more piccies, Or bring it along to a cruise!!

Definately not the same car then. Phillips CD player, standard brakes, has 4.0 badge, standard headers. I'd say its just a lookalike. I'm going to AFF day at heathcote this weekend to see if i can get into a 16 with it.
The pics below were taken at the car lot.

I just like the EL ghia grill, but it's your car man, only a stupid suggestion as to what would make it look perfect IMO.
