Default Windscreen washer issues

Hi guys, I got an issue with my 2012 build focus sport, the windscreen washer is blocking sometimes and sometimes it works with low pressure , I am guessing a blocked filter in the pump.

As the car is under warranty I have booked it to be checked by the dealer, my question is if the filter is blocked would they fix it under warranty or charge me for it,

I was hoping for the dealer to fix it and while the car was there get any firmware updates done, but if it is going to cost me, I will rather do it myself

Thanks in advance.

Is there a filter? It could be anything. Blocked jets, pump failing or some other issue. If it is a blocked filter, it's not part under warranty because it's either a part that can wear out or, you haven't used an approved windscreen washer fluid. It's kind of saying your engine has seized up but it's found out you've never changed your oil.

Unfortunately, cars, believe it or not, do break down. So, yes, you may find you have to pay for repairs unless it is something that is regarded as having failed within a warranty period, say, a transmission.

If you do it yourself, to save some money, you may void any warranty. It ends up being a case of risk versus cost. If you have been servicing your car regularly and it is still under warranty, discuss it with your service department. You may find they'll fix it at no cost to you because you're on their books as doing the right thing by them.
