Default Stripping off!

This may have been covered before.

Whats the safest and most effective way to remove the rubbing strips from the doors in the Fiesta for painting or complete removal?

I think that they are effectively double sided taped on yeah?

Any one done this before?

There is a square locating peg at each end. As well as double sided tape.

maybe heat them up to loosen the tape. I think i just edged them off with the help of a butter knife. they come off pretty easy. just make sure if you're painting em yourself to really give em a good sand to get the texture off so they finish well.

Warm them up with a hair dryer (not too hot) then use some fishing line to cut through, works great on badge removal too !!!! no harm to the paint.
