has anyone fitter one of these to their car?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-FALCON-B...QQcmdZViewItem they seem to be of decent size but the filter element itself looks to be like a finer filter you find in a wet+dry vacuum or some 4WD's. i've never seen them anywhere but ebay and they are dirt cheap but i'm curious as to whether the design itself is any god and if there are more "reputable" brands selling these

That filter is too small to supply the air required for a 40 motor. The overall surface area of it looks to be less than a stock panel filter.

I think that's a copy of a Trust pod. The price says it all really, but if you must purchase this, then just be aware that the element has a nasty habit of shrinking and allowing unfiltered air through.

i would think that a pod filter would also have less surface area than a panel filter. i wouldn't buy that particular one... its yellow:P but seriously no way could i trust a $14 "performance" air filter. im wondering about the design though, regular pod filters have been done to death tried and true i know but if there is another option that is as good it'd be nice to have something different i probably wont change from my high flow panel filter anyway. i might see if i can dig up some more info on trust pod's.
