Set for reveal soon. But contradicting reports also say it has been put on the back burner and delayed, due to Nissans poor financials and the need to prioritise some desperately needed SUV's. The same report said it wasn't going to go on sale until late 2022. 2023 release here.

If it looks like that with TT I think they will do well. I'd prefer wider spaced exhaust outlets though with quad pipes. Looks a bit weird other than but overall I'd be fairly sure I would be more keen on this than the Supra looks wise.

I'm a HUGE Supra fan but I'm with you.

The Z looks better. Like the new Supra but don't love the look from various angles.

The Mk4 Supra Twin Turbo I put a deposit on years ago but it failed the today......wasnt that much to fix. Grand or so in electrics etc

If I bought It it would be worth double at least now...........stupid me!!

370Z manuals had this feature since 2009 . It is called SRM (synchro rev match ) and it matches engine revs to gears on both down-change and up-change .
For those who can heel and toe , it can be switched off by a press of the button .

I like heel and toe, a big part of the fun with a manual It would be interesting to hear from those that have used it with a manual. I have non of this modern stuff with my WRX

Yeap, while the sound of a V8 Mustang is magic, the performance and bang for buck from this is going to be hard to beat.

Hopefully the grille is changed for production, and they do something to make those taillights blend into the car better. Doesn't look cohesive at all.

Engine is a big improvement over the old 3.7 V6.

The styling seems to be unashamedly 240, looks is very subjective but its modern without being generic so I quite like it.

I was looking forward to seeing how, or if, Nissan would reinvent the Z car. I prefer the 350 and 370 after seeing these images.

I think that side on shot makes the rear end look too short with the yellow paint sloping up very sharply, when in reality the bumper is squared off just can’t see it due to the black bumper not being visible in the photo. No doubt will find out when we see it in the flesh

Paddles have been around for a very long time, no different to the +/- mode in a BA falcon with a BTR, just a different position for the function. (granted better gearbox's and tech now too).

The comment was in regards to comparing 1/4 mile times and making sure you are comparing H vs H, not 10 spd auto vs 6 spd H. If an auto was 30% quicker then some more traditionalist still wouldnt be interested as they want the H. (also less hassle when it goes pop).

I didnt say you couldnt have fun in an auto, thats crazy, but explain how an auto is more evolving, engaging, skillful and just plan old fun than an auto?

Modern auto's are efficient no doubt, but the pursuit of outright straight line speed and quicker shift times comes at the cost of engagement. And who really cares if you do 0-100 in 5.0 or 5.2 secs?

Good thing we have an option still in some cars, enjoy it while it lasts and we should be celebrating releases from any make for cars like this because it is fast becoming a niche.

IMO Nissan has nailed this, price will be king here, they will be foolish to sit it higher than the V8 Mustang.

Toyota stuffed up the Supra a bit, they may have saved some R&D linking in with BMW but they wont sell like they could have if it was in house. Id say BMW wont be keen on letting them drop RRP to heavily either.

A Supra vs Mustang vs Z will be an interesting read when the time comes.

True. The first pictures made people a bit unsure. But it looked so much better in the metal.

Anyway, the 400Z is essentially a concept at this stage. There is still time for them to change it before it goes into production. Although it's supposed to be fairly close to what it will look like.

Chassis may also be "old", but its hardly bad, Falcon used an evolving platform for years too.

That is a noice butt. Not that it drew any inspiration from it, but a quick glance at the rear end reminds me of the DB7.

That rectangle bumper is horrible imo.

Deal breaker even if I can't afford one anyway.

IMO that s s**t hot and I imagine there will be a NISMO version at some point.

Id really struggle with the choice of this or a Mustang.
