Hello everyone...
I am looking at buying a decent espresso machine, and an wondering if anyone here has such a machine, and can give some advice. My brother has a Rancillio , and my father has a Nuova , both manual machines. But I am looking for an Automatic machine as I dont really have the time and I am too lazy for the manual machine. Brands I am looking at are Jura, Saeco and Delonghi, around the $1500 us mark. Anyone got such a beast and can help with what to look at ? thanks in advance Craig |

I have a Delonghi Manual machien and love it Ive had it 6 years now and it gets a daily work out so if there Auto machiens are of the same quality I'd jump at it

Saeco is really good. Took me ages to research all the machines and Saeco was the best of the bunch.

I had a Sunbeam Cage Series E749 and it was fanatastic for a full manual machine. But then Igot lazy bought a Delonghi full automic ($1200.00), can't say enough about it.

Plus 1 for DeLonghi
My sister used to sell Krupps machines and recommended a DeLonghi. (She has one herself) We have a Magnifica - it has a timer built in to start up and warm up the cups every morning.

I have a full auto Saeco in the southern highlands and it is good, but even on maximum settings not strong enough. I would buy a KRUPS - I have one of these at work and its a solid performer. Use the two cup filter for a single cup, pack it tight stop pulling when the cremer stops.
People who flog the grounds end up with bitter, watery coffee. Dont spend more than $500 for a domestic machine.
