Looks good!

How did you get past FSwerks extraordinarily high shipping prices? Just went online and they want $140US to ship to Australia

I didn't avoid it, 126 from memory. The box was pretty big to house the intake tube, whilst it isn't heavy the volume is there. In fact the box was as big as the intercooler I ordered.

I see. I went onto Cobbs website and to ship their intake it's $55 so they are making a bit on it. Kinda frustrating.

But I had a look on the site and I like their oem intake option, very stealthy. Probably still get a bit of noise but not as much as the exposed pod

I hear you but what do you do? Welcome to Australia.

I looked at the Cobb but went FSWerks for two reasons, the open pod, and for an extra $40 I thought it was better value for money with the shield included. It was offset by the shipping cost though.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that how does one company charge $125 and the next charge $55 to ship the (more or less) same item from and to the same countries. I dont have a problem being charged what it costs, but thats just not right. Furthermore, it is probably costing them overseas business.

I have also had a shipping quote from Mountune in the UK to ship an intercooler (so roughly similar size parcel) and they only want around 60 pounds, and thats from twice as far away and using DHL express, not the cheapest USPS air option.

They do because they can. Nothing to stop them charging what they want for shipping, same goes for their product. I guess at the end of the day the total price for the product and shipping is what we need to consider. Agreed it is odd to be so far from your competitor(s).

Some manufacturers have shipping rate deals with companies like DHL/FedEx and others just use USPS. Depends on the size of the company. FSwerks aren't as "big" as Mountune and wouldn't be able to justify having and international parcel account for the few things they ship here. Try these guys for a quote. LINK

Very true Pajoda.

What this all basically means is that I'm very undecided what to get!!

Go with the product you really want, the only thing that matters is if you are happy. If you don't spend your money on that it goes somewhere else anyway.

I'm leaning towards the fswerks kit because it includes a full pipe from airbox to turbo (unlike Mountune) and I like the almost factory type look. How did you found the quality of the pipe Pajoda? Ie quality of finish and fitment.

I ordered my Mountune shirt shift kit from the UK this time on Monday night and it arrived today, so just 3 days. Unbelievable! Fitted it tonight in around half an hour and I'm really liking the new feel of the shift, only 25% reduction but initial reaction is it feels like more ImageUploadedByTapatalk1385031423.730893.jpg

Crinkle black finish looks good, couldn't fault the quality of the product. It doesnt seal really tight around some points so thinking I will pack in some foam. Not even sure if it will make a difference but can't hurt.

Seriously tempted with an intake now, looking at a MT or FS werks atm. Im in no rush but the MT intake from fswerks is around $90 cheaper than from MT UK.
I guess i prefer the factory look of the MT intake but that Cool Flo does make a nice noise.

I just ordered a Cobb intake, missed out but they have a 15% off sale beginning on Monday.

The Cobb can still look factory if you want it to

Nice. My intake arrived yesterday, will install it on the weekend.

Also have the Cobb intercooler on its way, unfortunately have to wait until January as it's my birthday present!

And I can tell you its a really nice piece of kit and the filters are made for Cobb by 'Green Filter'.

I ordered mine on Friday morning and it arrived yesterday. Would take longer to arrive from Victoria!

you guys suck lol, i decided to hold off on mods until the 3000km inspection, only 500 more km to go. car certainly needs a IC upgrade, was considering the fswerks intake pipe with the stock air box, moomba rear engine mount, still not sure on FMIC. Had the resonator deleted.

anyways installed some new kids seats in the st

Damn, haven't kids seats come a long way. Geez, when I was riding around in the back seat in the late 60's and early 70's I just had a seat belt. I was introduced to kids seats for my own in the 90's and thought they were pretty neat. Now we have side impact protection, arm rests, and cup holders, gotta say one thing, can't spot the USB/iPhone connection. The tags even make it look like it has air bags, please don't tell me so!

Had my tune within 2 months oddnutz, including the 4 week wait for Ford to release our strategy file, nothing stopping you.
