Hi all i have done a stupid thing and while jacking up my eb fairmont the jack has slipped and crushed into the sump. When i started the engine there was no oil pressure reading on the dash cluster so am i right to assume it has damaged the oil pump?.

Has it dinted the sump under where the oil pick up is, which would starve the oil pump?

Yeah it sounds like you are right, from the people i've been talking to today they reckon i've damaged the oil pickup,it was crushed quite bad so its a sump off job and replace the oil pickup.
