I have seen Wallace and Grommit, great movie for kids and a bit of adult humour along the way.

I saw it a few weeks ago. Initially i had praise for it.

Was really dissapointed with Daisy. Nothing like the origonal.
At least the first Daisy had a bit of country strength and wasnt a gurly gurl like Jessica Simpson.
I think she lacked substance, relied on her looks too much.

Jessica Simpson = Draw Card, nothing more.
Not to mention she ruined that song... "These Boots" The lost the meaning of the song.

The Duke boys were too rough, the origonals were clean cut and smart.
They made them out to be redneck hicks.

Boss Hog... WTF... He lost 200 POUNDS ? Danny Divito would have been better cast.
And the Sheriff... When did he get over 6FT and put on 200 Pounds ?

Yes i do realise there were using different actors. :P
They could have tried harder in the casting Dept.

They lost and ruined of the concept from the TV Series.

Good to see the General Lee back at it if there was a positive.

Boss Hogg - the name is probably why the first one was chubby. I also thought Danny DeVito would have been a shoe in - if he would have been interested - maybe he wasn't.
The Sheriff - The original one was a sneaky incompetent wuss - even when he drew his gun no-one was scared. So the bigger, badder, meaner one in the new movie didn't fit right.

saw it tonight with a couple of the other guys on here, and we thought it was funny as! the jessica simpson thing was a bit overdone, but the rest was damn good.
you cant really compare it to the the original, if it was based closely on the original it wouldn't have been half as good.....

if you love muscle cars, and need a good laugh, go and see it.

charlie and the chocolate factory is also damn good, some funny stuff there too.....

I watched charlie and the chocolate factory and hated it. a terrible movie. Not fun, not funny, just boring with overdone special effects.

Original was much better.

Agreed. Depp was shocking compared to Wilder.

Thirded. Biggest waste of time ever, and was just plain annoying in the end.

Dukes = Not as bad as I thought it could be. Stupid fun. Yes they messed up the casting a fair bit IMHO. Car was excellent. Had a great deal of supertrooper refrences and cast in it. Could have been better, but I don't think it was bad. Weird *** Australian stuff in it.

Charlie and Choc = Okay, way pale compared to the origional. Depp was nothing compared to the complex and frankly unnerving Wilder. The special effects and Umpa lumpas didn't do it any favours.

Will see W and G next week. Loved all W and G stuff.
