Who does this still? 30 year, 330K pinion valve has a heavily weeping top seal, the usual sign of internal wear. I used to use Penshurst Power Steering, but David Hill is long retired. The subject job is French, not a Ford.

Trouble with unobtainium parts is the risk they’ll damage both the core and seal kit - which I’d probably have to supply in the first instance. The retired bloke was a dead set guru, super clean workshop and he could solve leaks in the most troublesome older units. But as he’s definitely retired and wound up the business two years ago, I’m looking for a well recommended successor.

Active now have the ram and pinion valve. They assured me each could be independently bench tested, then called today to say they wanted the whole rack, and the pump! So, tomorrow I’ll drop it over to them. Will then have a better idea of what they are like.
